Property Damage, Old Brandon Road
A resident on Old Brandon Road called to report that multiple mini bikes were driving back and forth up the road, tearing up her yard and scaring her horses.
Alarm Franklin, Street
Received a call regarding an alarm activation at the Otter Valley Union High School on Franklin Street. It was later determined that the alarm had been set off accidentally by an employee.
April 11
Domestic Assault - Felony, McConnell Road
Received a report of an aggravated domestic assault that was active and ongoing at the Green Mountain Market on McConnell Road. No Brandon Police officers were on duty, so the Vermont State Police were requested to investigate the complaint.
TRO/FRO Violation, Barlow Avenue
Received a call regarding a possible restraining order violation on Barlow Avenue via a fourth party.
April 10
TRO/FRO Service, W Seminary Street
Served a Notice of Hearing on Motion to Extend a Relief From Abuse Order on behalf of the Middlebury Police Department on an individual residing on West Seminary Street in Brandon. The order was later served in-hand to the defendant.

Received a report of an alarm activation at the Hannaford Supermarket. It was later determined that the alarm was false.

Assist - Agency, Jones Drive
Officers assisted the Brandon Area Rescue Squad with a medical call on Jones Drive in which an elderly female fell down a flight of stairs.
Assist - Agency, Goldspink Avenue
Vergennes Police requested assistance from the Brandon Police Department with serving a criminal subpoena on an individual residing on Goldspink Avenue.
Larceny - from Building, Union Street
A report was made to the Brandon Police Department regarding an attempted larceny of a propane tank on Union Street.
April 8
Lost/Found Property, Carver Street
Received a call regarding a lost/stolen iPad that went missing somewhere in the area of Carver Street.
Motor Vehicle Complaint, Town Farm Road
Received a complaint from a property owner on Town Farm Road regarding some individuals tearing up his property with dirt bikes. The complainant reported that he had one of the subjects detained. Because no Brandon Police officers were on at the time, the Vermont State Police-Rutland responded to handle the incident.
Suspicious Activity, Franklin Street
Responded to the area of Franklin Street, just South of downtown Brandon, for a report of a half-naked male walking around the area wearing nothing but a shirt and jacket. The responding officers checked the area, but did not locate anyone around.
Crash - Property damage only, Conant Square
Responded to the area of Conant Square for a report of a two car motor vehicle crash involving a passenger car and tanker truck. As a result of the crash, the fuel truck's gas tank ruptured and spilled diesel fuel into the roadway, causing a hazardous material incident. The operator of the passenger car, who was later determined to be at-fault, was found to have a criminally suspended drivers license and was subsequently issued a citation for Driving With a Criminally Suspended Drivers License. The Town of Brandon Highway Department, Brandon Fire Department, and Brandon Area Rescue also responded to the scene.
Threats/Harassment, Grove Street
Received a complaint of threats/harassment on Grove Street.
Citizen Dispute, Church Street
Received a complaint regarding a citizen dispute on Church Street between a boyfriend and girlfriend over a property issue. The issue was later resolved between the two parties and no police assistance was required.
April 7
Retail Theft, Supermarket Drive
Received a complaint from loss prevention at Hannaford Supermarket in Brandon regarding a retail theft and trespassing violation. The suspect was identified and an investigation was opened regarding the complaint.
Violation of Court Order, Pearl Street
Received a complaint of a possible violation of a Relief From Abuse Order on Pearl Street. The evidence was later reviewed by the investigating officer and it was determined that there was not enough proof of a violation to move forward with any criminal charges.
Welfare Check, Basin Road
Officers conducted a welfare check on Basin Road. The responding officers were able to determine that the subjects at the home were safe and that there were no issues there.
April 6
Welfare Check, Arnold District Road
Responded to the area of Arnold District Road for a report of a suspicious male that was loitering in the area and did not appear to be in good health. The responding officers located the subject and later determined that he had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear out of the Rutland County Court. The male was taken into custody without incident and then later transported to the court for arraignment in Rutland City.
Citizen Dispute, Pearl Street
Officers received a call regarding a citizen dispute over property that had been left at a residence on Pearl Street. It was later determined that the property had been abandoned at the residence by the owner for over 60 days and as such, the resident disposed of it accordingly.
Stalking, Forest Dale Road
A complaint was made to the Brandon Police Department from a Brandon resident regarding an incident of alleged stalking taking place. It was later determined that the matter was taking place in the City of Vergennes and the complainant was referred to the Vergennes Police Department as well as being supplied with information regarding potential social services that may be beneficial to the complainant.
Traffic Stop, Court Drive
Brandon Police located the driver of a “Be on the Lookout” (BOL) vehicle that had allegedly been passed out behind the wheel of his car in the area of Court Drive. The subject was later determined to be okay and that he had just fallen asleep while waiting for his wife who was dropping their children off at school.
