Threats/Harassment, Mulcahy Drive

A resident on Mulcahy Drive called to report that a male allegedly threatened him “through a wall” at the apartment complex over the weekend.

Officers responded to a building alarm at Otter Valley.

Mental Health Issue, Mulcahy Drive

Brandon Police received a complaint from a resident of Mulcahy Drive that kids were running by his apartment, calling him names.

Crash - Property damage only, Franklin Street/High Street

Responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Franklin Street and High Street involving a commuter bus and a SUV. No injuries were reported and the damage was minor.

Fire Incident, Syndicate Road / Carver Street

Responded to the area of Carver Street/Syndicate Road to assist the Brandon Fire Department with an illegal burn in which a deer carcass was found in the burnt pile of garbage.

Trespass, Union Street

Responded to the Walgreens on Union Street regarding a male that had been inside the store and had previously been issued a trespass notice not to come on the premises.

Traffic Hazard, Forest Dale Road

Responded to a report of a cow in the roadway on Forest Dale Road. The cow was out of the roadway when officers arrived on scene.

Assist - Agency, Mulcahy Drive

Assisted the Brandon Fire Department and Brandon Area Rescue Squad with a report of a gas odor on Mulcahy Drive. It was later determined that the odor was coming from a gas mini bike that had been left inside the building and was leaking fuel.

Alarm, Grove Street

Responded to an alarm at the Green Mountain Market on Grove Street. The responding officers checked the business, which was open, and determined that the alarm activation was false.

Animal Incident, McConnell Road

Responded to a residence on McConnell Road for a report of a horse that was allegedly dead and buried in a pile of hay. The responding officers went to the location and determined that the horse was not deceased and that it had only been laying down sleeping.

Municipal Ordinance Violation, Prospect Street

Received a complaint from the Town of Brandon Highway Department concerning overweight cement trucks driving on Prospect Street in violation of the weight restriction ordinance for the road.

Computer Crime, Franklin Street

Received a call from an individual reporting that she had been stalked by an internet personality for the past three years. It was later determined that the complainant most likely was suffering from some type of mental health issues and that the complaint was unfounded.

Crash - Leaving Scene of Accident, Country Club Road

Received a call regarding a motor vehicle crash on Country Club Road in which a vehicle crashed and then the driver/passenger attempted to walk away from the scene. Since no Brandon officers were on duty, the Vermont State Police were dispatched to respond to the scene to investigate.

Impersonating of a Police Officer, Park Street

Received a complaint about an individual who was driving a retired police vehicle and possibly impersonating a law enforcement officer in the area of Park Street. The complaint was determined to be unfounded.

Alarm, Grove Street

Responded to a commercial burglary alarm on Grove Street. Officers were able to determine that the alarm was false.

Alarm, Neshobe Circle

Responded to a building alarm at the Neshobe Elementary School.

Information, Franklin Street

Received a call from the Otter Valley Union High School on Franklin Street regarding an adult that was allegedly selling vape pens to minors in the community.

Citizen Dispute, Humiston Drive

Responded to Humiston Drive for a citizen dispute between neighbors in which the complainant was alleging that her neighbor had surveillance cameras pointed toward her property. It was later determined that there were no cameras and that what was believed to be security cameras were actually just solar lights.

Animal Incident, McConnell Road

Received a complaint regarding possible animal mistreatment involving dogs not being properly sheltered at a residence on McConnell Road. The complaint was previously looked into by the police and Town of Brandon Animal Control and was determined to be unfounded as there was proper shelter, food, and water for the dogs at the home.

Alarm, Forest Dale Road

Received an alarm activation at a municipal building on Forest Dale Road.
