Here are some upcoming events for all ages at Brandon Library — all events are free, though some require pre-registration where noted.

  • April 4, 1-3 p.m. Kids' Crafternoon: A monthly craft time for kids! We provide the art supplies and instruction for a different craft each month.  This month we will be stamping our own book bags! Ages 6+, parents/guardians will need to stay with your children.

  • April 7, 6-7 p.m. Serious Reads Book Talk: This month's book is “Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead”, by Olga Tokarczuk.

  • April 8, 6-7 p.m. Grief Group with Becki Lund of La Dimora: We welcome anyone and everyone who is traversing any type or level of grief.

  • April 8, 6 p.m. The Many Meanings of Maple: This talk with Dr. Michael Lange of Champlain College focuses on how and why maple has become so important to Vermont’s identity, and how and why it helps us shape who we are as Vermonters.

  • April 9, 6 p.m. Linux For Normal People: Tired of Big Tech? Wondering if Linux is right for you but don't know where to begin? Bring an old computer (and/or a burning desire for freedom) for a free introduction to FREE software.

  • April 11, 1-3 p.m. Cuss & Cut: Dive into block print cutting and printing, let the profanities fly as you create, and don't worry — no experience needed!

  • April 15, 5:30-7 p.m. Advanced Directive Workshop with Becki Lund of La Dimora

  • April 16, 6-8 p.m. Game Night: Join us for our monthly game night! Come alone or with a group. This month’s learn-to-play game is Splendor.

  • April 16, 5:30-7 p.m. Cook Book Club: This months book picks are “Brilliant Bites” and “Appetizers”. Stop in before, pick a recipe and bring the dish to share.

  • April 25, 2-3:30 p.m.: Dear Spring, a workshop hosted by Caitlin Gildrien, where we will explore the epistolary form, poems written like letters to someone (or something, like a place, an object, or an idea). Limited spaces — please email [email protected] to pre-register.

  • April 29, 6-7 p.m.: Fun Reads Book Club: This month's book is “The Secret to Superhuman Strength” by Alison Bechdel.
